Stevanović, Ena ; Váňová, Hana (advisor) ; Slavíková, Marie (referee) ; Nedělka, Michal (referee)
Music performance anxiety (MPA) is one of the most frequently reported problems among music students and professional musicians. It can potentially cause severe performance impairment and distress. Possible contributing characteristics are low musical self-efficacy, low self-esteem, inadequate preparation and previous performing experiences. The aim of the theoretical part of this study was to explain the phenomenon of MPA from various perspectives and with all its manifestations; to describe its psychological, social and educational contributing factors and to offer an analysis of coping strategies that could be used in the education system. The aim of the research project was to investigate the relationship between MPA, self-esteem and self-efficacy; to examine possible differences in the levels of MPA, self-efficacy and self-esteem between music students studying in three different higher education institutions, and to determine whether such differences could be attributed to their different educational experiences. Surveyed participants were 53 (quantitative study) and 10 (qualitative study) music students studying in the Manhattan School of Music in New York, the Music Academy in Prague and the Music Academy in Zagreb. Research data were collected using both quantitative (Rosenberg Self-Esteem...

Towards a Fullfilled Communicatiohn
Hamzová Pulicarová, Irena ; ČUNDERLE, Michal (advisor) ; VYSKOČIL, Ivan (referee)
In this dissertation, the author questions the degree and quality of communicability and credibility of speech act and generally personal expression of six contemporary preachers of the Catholic Church. Their expression is studied primarily from the standpoint of criteria set by the psychosomatic approach to public performance. Its main principles are characterised in relevant categories as a readiness to consciously, creatively and dialogically exist in the public space. This also means to express oneself with one?s body, voice and speech consciously and physiologically as well as possible, the psychic being in line with the somatic. All this in relation to oneself, to the given speech situation (to the sermon/homily) and to those who are present to it.
Children's folklore and his influence on the development of child's personality
DURDA, Lukáš
In this dissertation we are dealing with the current situation of children{\crq}s folklore and with its influence on the development of child's personality. It is based on individual components of public performance and on ethnographical knowledge, which we put into consequence with the problematic of children free-time activities. In that way we offer an insight on the potential of children{\crq}s folklore and its impact on the children{\crq}s personality development. The dissertation is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, we put the emphasis on the opinions of notable persons of our ethnography and partial disciplines of public performance. It is also based on experiences and opinions of people, who work with children and youth in the areas related to the children{\crq}s folklore. The second part is a practical part. It contents the description of practical activity of children{\crq}s folklore group Šafránek and interviews with its members. To the dissertation belongs an audiovisual attachment.
